Terms of use
Last updated: 31 October 2026
These terms apply when you use Car Watcher (carscraper.co.uk), which is run by Charles Bull (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the site, you agree to them. Questions: [email protected].
What Car Watcher does
Car Watcher checks public car adverts on UK marketplaces and manufacturer approved-used sites for the searches you save, and shows or emails you the matches. It is free to use.
Adverts are not ours
- Every advert comes from a third-party site. We don't sell cars, we're not part of any sale, and we aren't responsible for the cars, the sellers, or what the adverts say.
- Details such as price, mileage, year and write-off status are read automatically from the adverts and may be wrong, out of date or missing. Always check the original advert and the car itself (including an HPI or similar history check) before you buy.
- We can't promise to find every matching car, or to find one by a particular time. Marketplaces change their sites and sometimes block automated checks.
Your account
- You must be 18 or over, and give a real email address you can access.
- Keep your password and sign-in codes to yourself. You're responsible for activity on your account.
- You can delete your account at any time from the Account page.
Fair use
Please don't:
- try to get around rate limits, or overload the service or the marketplaces it checks;
- access other people's accounts, or probe or attack the site;
- use automated tools to copy the results in bulk, or resell the service;
- use it for anything unlawful.
We may limit, suspend or close accounts that break these rules. We may also change or stop the service, or any marketplace it checks, at any time.
Liability
The service is provided free and “as is”. As far as the law allows, we aren't liable for any loss arising from your use of it, including decisions about buying a car, missed listings or inaccurate advert details. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't legally be limited, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Your data
How we handle your personal data is explained in our privacy policy.
Changes and law
We may update these terms. We'll change the date above, and email account holders about significant changes. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and its courts have jurisdiction. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you can also use your local courts.
